George Newton

Since joining AST as a Project Manager earlier this year, I have found my role to be both varied and rewarding! Among other tasks, I liaise with our clients and skilled translators to arrange projects; contributing to AST’s central aim of communicating values and messages with accuracy and care.
After completing a degree in Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Oxford, my first roles in translation were at two EU institutions in Luxembourg, initially as a trainee and then on a fixed-term contract. This gave me considerable insight into the translation process and piqued my interest in project management.
I am excited to continue learning and developing at AST, and above all, to helping clients with their projects!
When away from the office, I enjoy playing snooker, watching live music performances and supporting Notts County.
